COVID-19 was the event that no one expected. It was the event that shut down the fast paced world we live in and in turn brought everyone one closer together through fear of catching one single viral disease. Schools closed, concerts delayed, travel suspended- and everyone was forced into isolation in their own houses to stop the spread of the virus. During a time where everything seemed stuck in time- a key symbol of protection came about- the mask. Whilst in isolation I have been creating my own range of decorative masks- a creative endeavour to keep my mind at bay during these crazy, unpredictable times
